Purpose
Governing researchPurpose studies how an AI assistant interprets what someone is trying to do and when it should answer, ask for clarification, or wait. It explores how those choices can be made explicit and checked rather than judged only from the final reply.
VDF
Spatial frameworkThe Visual Decision Framework explores an AI workspace that pairs a conversation with a spatial work area. Ideas, decisions, branches, and retained work can be seen in relation to one another rather than only as a chronological list of messages.
Narrow
Product expressionNarrow is designed for someone who has a question, a decision, or some material but has not yet worked out what they need. It keeps that starting material visible while offering a possible interpretation and a choice of what to do next.

How can meaning become useful while keeping its basis inspectable?
Axel investigates how meaning becomes useful for interpretation, action, and continuation while keeping its sources, unresolved conditions, and governing authority inspectable.
The work is developed through StayHooked, Purpose, the Visual Decision Framework (VDF), and Narrow. The bodies are related, but they are not four independent validations of one system.
The research record distinguishes authored designs, working software, retained tests, internal research findings, and application documents instead of treating one kind of evidence as proof of every intended effect.

A working surface can demonstrate behavior under documented conditions. It does not establish every intended effect, user benefit, or broader claim around it.

The corpus states what each body is, what its evidence supports, what remains unclaimed, what instrument exists, and which further studies could strengthen or challenge the account. Evidence status belongs to the particular claim being made.
